لأول مرة، يعقد مجلس الأمن الدولي صباح الأربعاء جلسة على المستوى الوزاري حول “قيم الأخوة الإنسانية في تعزيز السلام واستدامته”.
تترأس الجلسة السيدة نورة بنت محمد الكعبي وزيرة الدولة في وزارة الخارجية في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة التي ترأس مجلس الأمن الدولي خلال الشهر الحالي.
يستمع المجلس إلى إحاطات من الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش، وفضيلة الإمام الأكبر أحمد الطيب شيخ الأزهر الشريف، ونيافة رئيس الأساقفة بول ريتشارد غالاغير أمين العلاقات مع الدول في الكرسي الرسولي، والسيدة لطيفة بن زياتن رئيسة ومؤسسة جمعية عماد للشباب والسلام.
يشار إلى أن مدينة أبوظبي كانت قد شهدت في شباط/فبراير 2019 التوقيع على وثيقة الأخوة الإنسانية خلال لقاء جمع البابا فرنسيس والإمام الأكبر شيخ الأزهر الشريف أحمد الطيب.
وتمثّل الوثيقة إعلانا مشتركا يحث على السلام بين الناس في العالم.
The UAE calls on the Security Council to discuss the role of “human brotherhood” in promoting peace.

For the first time, the UN Security Council will hold this morning, Wednesday, a session at the ministerial level on “The values of human fraternity in promoting and sustaining peace.”
The session will be chaired by Ms. Noura bint Muhammad Al Kaabi, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the United Arab Emirates, who chairs the UN Security Council this month.
The Council will hear briefings from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, His Eminence, Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayyib, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, His Eminence Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States at the Holy See, and Ms. Latifa Ben Zayaten, President and Founder of the Imad Association for Youth and Peace.
It is noteworthy that the city of Abu Dhabi witnessed in February 2019 the signing of the Human Fraternity Document during a meeting between Pope Francis and the Grand Imam, Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Ahmed Al-Tayeb.
The document represents a joint declaration urging peace among people in the world.
