في 15 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2022، يتوقع أن يصل عدد سكان العالم إلى 8 مليارات نسمة، وهو ما يمثل علامة فارقة في التنمية البشرية .
هذا النمو غير المسبوق يرجع إلى الزيادة التدريجية في متوسط عمر الإنسان بسبب التقدم في خدمات الصحة العامة والتغذية والنظافة الشخصية والطب. كما أنه ناتج عن ارتفاع مستويات الخصوبة بشكل مستمر في بعض البلدان.
وبينما استغرق نمو سكان العالم 12 عامًا ليرتفع من 7 إلى 8 مليارات، سيستغرق وصول عددهم إلى 9 مليارات حوالي 15 عامًا، حتى عام 2037، مما يشير إلى تباطؤ معدل النمو الإجمالي لسكان العالم

On November 15, 2022, the world population is expected to reach 8 billion, which represents a milestone in human development.
This unprecedented growth is due to the gradual increase in human life expectancy due to advances in public health services, nutrition, personal hygiene and medicine. It is also caused by persistently high levels of fertility in some countries.
And while it took 12 years for the world’s population to rise from 7 to 8 billion, it will take about 15 years to reach 9 billion, until 2037, which indicates a slowdown in the overall growth rate of the world’s population.
هذا النمو غير المسبوق يرجع إلى الزيادة التدريجية في متوسط عمر الإنسان بسبب التقدم في خدمات الصحة العامة والتغذية والنظافة الشخصية والطب. كما أنه ناتج عن ارتفاع مستويات الخصوبة بشكل مستمر في بعض البلدان.
