بيان صادر عن بعثة يونيتامس بشأن وقف إطلاق النار خلال عيد الأضحى المبارك.

ترحب بعثة الأمم المتحدة المتكاملة لدعم المرحلة الانتقالية في السودان (يونيتامس) بقراري وقف إطلاق النار اللذين أعلِنا كل على حدة من قبل القوات المسلحة السودانية وقوات الدعم السريع خلال عطلة عيد الأضحى وتشدد على ضرورة أن يحافظ الطرفان على وقف إطلاق النار.

في الوقت نفسه، تظل قوات الدعم السريع والميليشيات المتحالفة معها مسؤولة عن أعمال العنف ضد المدنيين، والاغتصاب والنهب في المناطق التي تسيطر عليها، بما فيها الخرطوم، والعنف الذي يستهدف المدنيين على أساس عرقي في دارفور.

وتظل القوات المسلحة السودانية مسؤولة عن الهجمات في المناطق المأهولة بالسكان المدنيين، بما في ذلك القصف الجوي للمناطق السكنية في الخرطوم.

بموجب القانون الدولي، تتحمل الأطراف المتحاربة مسؤولية حماية المدنيين في المناطق الخاضعة لسيطرتها.

A statement issued by the UNITAMS mission regarding the cease-fire during Eid Al-Adha.

The United Nations Integrated Transitional Support Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS) welcomes the two ceasefire decisions announced separately by the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces during the Eid al-Adha holiday and stresses the need for the two parties to maintain the ceasefire.

At the same time, the RSF and allied militias remain responsible for violence against civilians, rape and looting in areas they control, including Khartoum, and violence targeting civilians on an ethnic basis in Darfur.

The Sudanese Armed Forces remain responsible for attacks in civilian populated areas, including aerial bombardment of residential areas in Khartoum.

Under international law, warring parties have a responsibility to protect civilians in areas under their control.
