١- يعيش 80% من أصل مليار شخص من ذوي الإعاقة في البلدان النامية
٢.يُقدر أن 46% من المسنين الذين تبلغ أعمارهم 60 عامًا أو أكثر هم من ذوي الإعاقة
٣.يُحتمل أن تعاني واحدة من كل خمس نساء من عوق ما في أثناء حياتها، بينما يعاني واحد من كل عشرة أطفال من العوق
من الأهمية بمكان أن تتعاون الحكومات والقطاعان العام والخاص مع الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة في الوصول إلى حلول مبتكرة لهم بما يجعل هذا العالم أسهل وأيسر.
تحت شعار “دور الابتكار في الدفع قدما نحو عالم ميسور ومنصف.” نحيي اليوم الدولي للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة.

- Of the one billion people with disabilities, 80% live in developing countries
- It is estimated that 46% of the elderly aged 60 years or over have a disability
- One in five women is likely to suffer from a disability during her lifetime, while one in ten children will suffer from a disability
It is very important for governments and the public and private sectors to cooperate with persons with disabilities in reaching innovative solutions for them to make this world easier and more accessible.
Under the slogan “The role of innovation in pushing forward towards an affordable and fair world.” We celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
